What do you think of this story idea?

Where is the island ? Where are they going to go when they get off? They could swim off or make a boat of some kind and float off. But they would have to know some how where they are going and which direction or else they may just float at sea or die swimming off. So I don't know what else to tell you unless they contact the outside world some way. Will there cell phone pick up a signal? Can they get internet on the island?
