Why do people who deny GOD or adhere to Liberalism, seem not to care about the world they live in?

After the rapture the Spirit of God will be completely taken away, which means that mankind will no longer have peace, love, hope, or joy..no God-given conscience either. All these things that have been given to us so freely will be gone. I shudder to think of a world without God's blessings put upon it. I shudder to think of any of my loved ones having to go through it..we need to pray for more people to turn to Christ and repent of their sins. This world is not ours to ruin..we are on borrowed time, and the lease is almost up. Time to give back what rightfully belongs to God. Amen?
